Method:

  • Pre-heat oven to 220° and prepare our Hash Browns as outlined on the back of our packaging.

  • While these are cooking, heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat adding diced onion and pepper, sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.

  • Add garlic, paprika, cumin and chilli powder to the fan and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Pour in the diced tomatoes and simmer for 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  • Use a spoon to create small wells in the tomato mix around the pan for each egg, cracking them into these areas.

  • Cover the pan with a lid and let the eggs cook until the whites are set (not translucent) which will be about 7 minutes.

  • Serve hot with our Hash Browns, the perfect side to soak up this delicious Shakshuka.

Easy Shakshuka

This shakshuka is the perfect breakfast, brunch, or lunch option paired with our delicious Hash Browns (500g) to soak up all the goodness from this DF/GF/Vegan-friendly meal. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bags of Wild Chef Hash Browns (500g)

  • 1 onion diced

  • 1 red pepper, diced

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced (or substitute for garlic powder)

  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp cumin, paprika and chilli powder

  • 1 can diced tomatoes

  • 4 eggs

  • Salt, pepper to taste

  • Optional toppings: crumbled feta, chopped parsley.
